Studio Haus Co is a full-service interior design studio in Byron Bay. From initial concepts, through to completion, we can manage the entire project working directly with architects, trades, and suppliers to take the stress and complication out of creating your dream space. We work organically with our clients, and scale the scope of works depends on what our individual clients needs are.
Founded by Ky Drury, our team is passionate and forward-thinking. With over 25+ years of experience in the building and design industry, we are pushing the boundaries of trends, constantly innovating and inspiring. We service the Byron Bay region directly and work with clients from further afield into the Tweed, Gold Coast and Mid-North Coast.
Studio Haus Co is behind some of Byron Bay’s most well-known projects including The Grove, The Mez Club and Loft Byron Bay.

Ky Drury
Principal Designer & Founder
As principal designer, Ky is across all projects at Studio Haus Co at each level: design, construction, sourcing & styling.
Ky’s passion is in designing the structure and layout of a space – combining functionality, lighting & aesthetics. Her signature style mixes raw elements & textures, brushed metals & natural stones with a neutral colour palette.
With over 25+ years in the building industry, Ky understands the complexities of building and design, from initial concepts through to completion.
Working alongside her husband Mick Drury, of Broken Head Building and many years of renovating and building homes, they moved to Byron Bay, buying a 43-acre working macadamia farm. Their experience and style transformed the home into The Grove, a project which launched Ky’s career in interior design and gained her a devoted online following.
Billi Drury
Structural Designer & Co-Founder
Leading the structural and technical side of our designs. Billi’s role is primarily involved in the architecture, construction, and layout of spaces.
Her relationship with design began at an early age, growing up in the midst of renovations and building sites. Billi began working alongside Ky, translating her vision into tangible plans. Billi creates our technical drawings, plans and 3D renders. Working from the ground up in terms of how a space is going to feel when you first step into it.
Kaz Carswell
Sourcing & Development
Leading our sourcing and product development, Kaz is responsible for acquiring all the furnishing elements for projects. After a lifetime in retail and owning & operating a clothing brand, her extensive travels around the world lead her to create an interior design store, combining her love of natural textures and raw elements. Her extensive experience in global sourcing has found her sourcing for Studio Haus Co, both for projects as well as our unique range of in-house products.
Dakota Drury
Styling & Product Sourcing
Dakota’s roll includes sourcing the final styling touches, market & trend research and managing relationships with our suppliers. Currently studying a Bachelor of Interior Design & Decoration, combining her love for creating bespoke spaces and interior design. Dakota’s career began in 2017 as a wedding & event stylist, primarily styling photoshoots and creating content for brides-to-be. After having her son, Atlas, she has refocused her career into interior styling & decorating.
Mahli Jeffreson
Marketing Manager
Leading our communication strategy, Mahli handles our social media, website and branding. Joining the team to drive our rebranding project, elevating Ky’s brand from a singular person-orientated business to the larger, more diverse brand of Studio Haus Co.
